Prof. Michael Chen
Lab Director & Professor
Prof. Michael Chen is a renowned expert in artificial intelligence with over 20 years of research experience. He founded AICIL in 2017 with a vision to advance AI research that benefits society. His research interests span machine learning theory, neural architecture search, and transfer learning. Before joining the university, he was a senior researcher at MIT CSAIL and spent five years at Google Brain working on foundational AI technologies.

Dr. Sarah Johnson
Associate Director & Associate Professor
Dr. Sarah Johnson is an expert in computer vision and medical image analysis. She joined AICIL in 2019 after completing her postdoc at Stanford. Her research focuses on developing AI systems for healthcare applications, particularly in early disease detection and diagnosis. She has published over 40 papers in top-tier venues and her work has been adopted by several hospitals for clinical use.
